Priego de Córdoba historical centre is characterized on the one hand by its topography, The Adarve (parapet wall), which has conditioned its origin; on the other hand, by the hydrographic network THE WAYS OF WATER, which has influenced the formation of the TRAVERTINO PLATFORM where Priego is located.

The Urban Plan represents the SAFEGUARD AND alsoTHE IMPROVEMENT OF THE HISTORICAL VALUES including its adjacent surroundings. This project coordinates the PROTECTION of its important Urban heritage and the current urban fabric with IMPLEMENTATION OF ACTIONS designed to REVITALIZE it.  This area of the city contributes to create NEWOPPORTUNITIES to access to housing for the younger population and, in addition it provides spaces for new uses and dynamic activities.
